Overview

TripCollab is a mobile app that allows users to collaboratively design travel itineraries and co-author travel journals with their companions.

Introduction

TripCollab is a meticulously designed product aimed at aiding individuals who are keen on group travel. It provides collaborative, user-friendly, and adaptable tools for devising travel itineraries and chronicling voyages alongside fellow travelers.

In addition to embarking on journeys with pre-existing companions, you also have the option to share your initial travel plan within the community, thereby connecting with kindred spirits interested in joining your excursion. Beyond its utility for group endeavors, TripCollab also serves as an excellent personal travel journaling instrument, enabling you to visually recapitulate your travel accounts, schedules, and explorations.

Starting the Project

My concept entails crafting a platform that empowers teams or small groups to effortlessly forge their travel itineraries. Here, every member can engage in discussions, offer suggestions, and make adjustments collaboratively. Furthermore, while on the journey, each individual can readily access the travel schedule via their mobile devices, guaranteeing a seamless expedition for the entire team.

Summary

The first UX project has finally reached completion, and I find the final result acceptable at this moment. As a newcomer to such projects, I initially encountered obstacles related to my unfamiliarity with the entire design process, a sense of unease with the workflow, and discomfort in navigating the newly introduced software. This project primarily utilized Figma. Initially, its learning curve seemed manageable (akin to Illustrator or Sketch), yet as I delved deeper, I recognized a certain degree of intricacy involved.

The repeated engagement with and utilization of the software during the creation and finalization of this personal project have considerably honed my proficiency with Figma. Areas I aim to enhance in my subsequent endeavors encompass standardizing files (e.g., text sizes, spacing), attaining a smoother mastery of the component library, and drawing inspiration from the community's creations. Furthermore, in my upcoming project, I intend to incorporate minor animations using Principle to intuitively convey operational logic.

Regarding the comprehensive UX project, I am content with the seamless thought process and its logical framework. Nonetheless, a sense persists that it lacks a compelling element; perhaps delving into more pertinent literature could expand my comprehension. Additionally, the concept of aligning team members' free time, initially contemplated, was eventually omitted. I speculated that the chat function might adequately address such scenarios, thereby rendering the mentioned feature less crucial.
